My best friend Jae & i have been meaning to try out new restaurants. To be specific, we’ve been meaning to conquer the small world of Pasadena, among the restaurants, museums, parks, lounges, cafes, and your house. In our quest to break our own normality issues, we were led to Chām: Korean Bistro on the corner of South Lake & Cordova.
I must say, Chām is a wonderful restaurant aesthetically & vibrant in the personality of all the people who work there. As soon as we entered, we were basically given a tour of the experience we were about to engage in. Back in the summer of 2006, i took a trip to Seoul, South Korea to visit my friend/teammate, Brian Kim. The one thing i enjoyed about the meals in Seoul was the experience you received in eating your food. You all know i’m a major supporter in experience and the journey and Chām did an excellent job at that!
My meal consisted of the Spicy Korean BBQ Chicken over grilled onions, Lettuce & Peppermint wraps, white rice, a mini ssam (salad in Korean), sweet potato salad, & an iced barley tea. My favorite combination out of the bunch was placing the Spicy bbq chicken in the peppermint leaf… like nothing i’ve ever tasted before in my life !!
if you’re ever in Pasadena, make sure you visit Chām!!
no need to ask me if they’re good lol !!
